The Consulate General has jurisdiction over Southern California, Nevada, Arizona, and New Mexico.
To provide faster and more convenient consular services, to respond quickly in the event of incidents, and to share more useful and important information on our website, such as safety information and economic trends. Furthermore, to seek to support Korean companies operating in our jurisdiction, and doing part to strengthen Korea-U.S. relations by expanding exchanges and cooperation with local government officials, business leaders, research institutes, and the media.
There are currently 2.55 million Korean Americans that favor the ROK-US alliance, having grown since Koreans first arrived in Hawaii in 1903. Southern California is home to about 700,000 Korean Americans, who have made significant contributions to the growing political clout of the Korean American community by giving birth to a sizable number of elected Korean American leaders, including members of the US House of Representatives.
The Consulate General works hard to enhance consular services while placing the safety of Koreans living abroad as a high priority. In addition to encouraging younger generations to play even more involved roles in the community, also is responsible for advocating for the rights and interests of Korean Americans.
